Who we are
BeaconBox is a Chrome extension and web service operated by Fluey AI, Inc. (“we”, “us”). It monitors the communities you choose for posts that match criteria you define, drafts suggested replies, and queues them for your review. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Account information
You sign in with Google. We receive and store the profile information Google provides for sign-in, such as your name, email address, profile picture, and account identifiers. We also store the authentication records needed to maintain your account. We never receive your Google password.
Monitors and matches
We store the monitors you configure (the communities you watch, your product description, and matching criteria, schedules, and limits) and the matches they produce. A match may include the source, post ID, URL, title, author name or handle when available, post excerpt, timestamp, relevance score and reason, generated draft, and your review status.
Content read by the extension and sent to BeaconBox
The extension reads pages from the sources you add to a monitor, using the browser session in which you are already signed in. Today, those sources are Reddit and Blind. Depending on the source and the access you grant, this can include content from public pages, login-only communities, or private communities that your account is permitted to view. The extension sends the collected post content and relevant metadata to our servers for relevance filtering and reply drafting.
The extension does not collect or transmit your site passwords, browser cookies, or session tokens to BeaconBox. It does not read your general browsing history or pages on sites you have not added to a monitor. You can revoke a site permission in Chrome or disconnect the extension from your BeaconBox account at any time.
Usage and technical records
We keep operational records needed to run, secure, and improve the service. These include scan and match counts, AI token usage, monitor and source identifiers, and product events such as a completed scan, a surfaced lead, or a copied draft. We also store a cryptographic hash of the personal token that connects your extension to your BeaconBox account; we do not store that raw token.
How we use information
- To run your monitors: filter collected posts for relevance and generate reply drafts.
- To show your review inbox and keep it in sync between the dashboard and the extension.
- To authenticate you and secure your account.
- To meter usage, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use monitored content, monitor descriptions, or drafts to train a general-purpose AI model.
AI processing
Relevance filtering and reply drafting are performed by large language models accessed through third-party AI providers. For each processing request, we send the monitor criteria you wrote and the collected post title and content needed to evaluate or draft a reply. That content can include material from login-only or private communities you selected. BeaconBox never posts anything on your behalf: every draft waits for you to review, edit, and post it yourself.
Service providers
We share data only with the vendors needed to run the service:
- Google, for sign-in.
- Our database and hosting providers, which store the data described above.
- AI model providers, which process monitor criteria and collected post content to filter and draft.
- Optionally, a realtime messaging provider, which carries only change notifications — never your content.
We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the security of BeaconBox, our users, or others.
Data retention and deletion
We retain account, monitor, match, deduplication, usage, and product-event data while your account is active, unless we no longer need it for the purposes described here. Deleting a monitor stops future scans for that monitor, but previously created matches and related scan records may remain in your account history. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the address below. We will process verified requests within 30 days, subject to limited retention required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or backups.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. The extension authenticates to our servers with a personal token that we store only as a cryptographic hash, and signing out of the dashboard revokes it. Access to production data is limited to what is needed to operate the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us using the address below to make a request; we may need to verify your identity before responding. We will honor applicable privacy rights, including rights that may apply to California residents.
Cookies and Do Not Track
We use essential cookies and similar technologies to provide sign-in and maintain your web session. We do not use the BeaconBox marketing site for cross-site behavioral advertising. Because there is no uniform standard for browser Do Not Track signals, the site does not change its behavior in response to them. The extension accesses community pages only to run monitors you configure.
Children
BeaconBox is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will change the date above when we do, and for material changes we will notify you by email or in the product.
